Activities
The activities of Project Sampoorna include the following:
- Identification of sexually abused, exploited male children and male children in sex work
- Counseling and medical check-up and treatment
- Rehabilitation and re-integration with families
As a result, the impact has led to identifying sexually exploited young male children. Many of the sensitized male children have either reduced sex work or are practicing safe sexual practices, and gone for treatment for STI/STDs. Boys from the rural and peri-urban areas have been sensitized about the dangers of trafficking thus protecting them from falling prey to the promises of traffickers and pimps.
